In Hockey we used to play games such as these TO GET ICE TIME !! It helps ! The first seven got playing time and did what was expected. One thing for sure is that Milton REALLY has some good help this year.
I liked the way we did the job commencing in both halves. If we do as well tomorrow , we should be ready for Paradise Jam

The previous century mark, for those wondering, happened in 1997 against Robert Morris. We put up 106.

Fun game to watch. No Rambler played more than 20 minutes and 15 players scored. Custer played and shot well. Jackson scored at will inside but is shaky on the free throw line. Chastain showed his leaping ability by swatting away shots with his help defense. Looks to have a real knack for blocking shots. Also hit a 3. He is going to be a good one once he gets accustomed to the college game and fills out some. Satterwhite played many more minutes than against Alcorn State and ran the point at the end of the game. Has pretty good handles but tends to overdribble. Must improve his court vision. Vlatko was 2 for 2 on 3s. Kirby started but didn't show much. Did make a nice pass to a cutting player for an easy layup. Igor had a hard time trying to score underneath. He needs a year in the weight room. Milt definitely looks stronger, and he actually looked a bit taller too. As ahunte advised me, it's not inconceivable that we might see some four guard sets with Milt as an inside presence.

We have another warm up game against Eureka Monday before our first real test against St. Joe at the Paradise Jam.

Didn't see Streak at the game and he hasn't been on the board for a while. Hope everything is okay.

I agree that it was a fun game to watch with lots of action. It was also fun for me to see so many of the players off of the bench. I assume that a number of those guys you won't see again this year (besides maybe tonight).

I have some concerns though. As usual what's going on with the concessions? They have 4 food items (hot dog, soft pretzel, popcorn, nachos) and 4 drink choices (coke, diet, sprite, water). To make matters worse they don't accept credit cards. I heard numerous people complain while waiting in line. A lot of people didn't realize this until they waited to got to the front of the line and then they were instructed to go to the near by ATM and then get back in line. What a lousy game experience for people. I realize that this is a new concessions company... but they have had since last March to figure this out. I think it's inexcusable. This would never happen at a premier program!

My other concern like usual is the student attendance! Sunday at 2pm!!! Where could they possibly be? What is being done differently to get the students to the game? Every new freshman class is a fresh opportunity to build a "culture" of going to the game with all of your dorm friends!!! Every year THEY talk about packing the Joe, "what an amazing home court advantage it would be". But on the surface I don't see anything different being done. Am I missing something?

From what I heard, they have only had a few weeks to figure it out. Last minute thing.

As far as student attendance goes not a lot of people are going to give up one of the last nice Sunday afternoons before the long cold winter to see IU Northwest. I agree that student attendance is likely going to be an issue (again) but Im not going to be upset at kids for not wanting to go see what is analogous to an NFL preseason game.

We're in Chicago. There's always an excuse. I had some good conversations with some folks in the athletic department last year. I had hoped that things would change. They need to find a way to get people there. Bribe them. Just do something.

Good to see the team dominate teams they're supposed to dominate. Clayton-Ben-Milt have some extremely impressive chemistry. They're playing at a different speed than everyone else on the court right now; the real test will be against St. Josephs to see where we're really at. Donte and Aundre look like a solid but undersized post duo. Chastain's defense will cause teams fits as he gets more comfortable. Skokna looks very comfortable out there for a freshmen. Satterwhites got a good 3 point shot, and hopefully will improve on the drive. Compared to last year most of these new players look like they belong and can contribute in small doses right away (mistakes and all), and they definitely look to be nice pieces in the long run.

"Clayton-Ben-Milton" sounds like somebody on TSA's No-Fly List.
