I recently went back to Los Angeles to connect with my old friends. It was fun to talk with my old friends from childhood.
I explored the old neighborhood I grew up in, which is now a historic/legendary neighborhood.

"Dogtown and Z-Boys." I know a lot of those guys. I went to Mar Vista Elementary School, which is cited in the documentary.
My grandmother was a Santa Monica schoolteacher for 30 years. My father was a Santa Monica policeman for 12 years. My mother was a nurse at the Santa Monica Hospital for almost two years.
