Money magazine has rated Rogers Park as the 5th best place to live in the U.S. Must have changed a lot since I went to LUC.

Fixed up buildings and some new construction
A nascent beach culture is developing
Mobility is improved because of bike sharing, bike lanes, e-bikes, scooters, more walkable streets, etc. Plus CTA
Very diverse population and personalities
One of the most affordable areas of Chicago's North Side
