SWELLA PREDICTS:

BOBI KLINTMAN WILL COMMIT TO THE RAMBLERS.

I typed my prediction in the largest font size, in caps and in red. That shows how confident I am.

from Zagsblog:
**Bobi Klintman, the 6-foot-8, 200-pound small forward from Sunrise (KS) Christian Academy, trips to Rutgers this weekend (Sept. 24-26) for his second official visit.

Klintman took his first official visit to Maryland from Sept. 17-19 and has plans to visit Loyola-Chicago from Oct. 1-3).

Another potential big man off the board.

Reminder that Bobi Klintman is visiting Loyola this weekend.

The final of his 3 official visits after heading to Maryland and Rutgers the past two weekends.

He hasn't said much of anything on Twitter about either visit, just retweeting something about his Maryland visit. So, it doesn't seem like those visits swayed him at all.

Let's see if coach Valentine can lock Klintman in. Would be one of the biggest gets Loyla's had in a long time. Wouldn't be shocked if he was as high as a top-50 recruit in the country after the season is over.

Would be huge, but having just come over to the states I wouldn’t be shocked if he had a later commitment as he gets more exposure. He seemed really high on Virginia, wonder if they’re not prioritizing him if he hasn’t setup a visit.

He's made it really clear his goal is to get to the league. I think we're going to be hard pressed to say how a career at Loyola can do that, but that will be the case until someone does it. It's a chicken and egg problem that can only be solved by someone either being way better than they were projected or a 4 star guy like Klintman taking a risk. Maybe Valentine can lean on the family connection as a way of drawing NBA attention to little old Rogers Park.

The NBA is weird. Look at a guy like Luka Garza. He went to a big 10 school, had “national exposure,” solid numbers in the big 10, and got drafted 52nd in the NBA draft. Then look at a guy like Adam Morrison in 2006, who played in a mid major league with Gonzaga and got drafted 3rd. Morrison was a flop but got PAID, and made the league. Morrison’s stats were padded a lot by playing in the WCC for 3 years.

If Klintmann thinks he’s NBA quality (and he very well might be), it would probably only help him to go to a place like Loyola (who is very much on par with the 2003-2006 Gonzaga program, as opposed to a big 10 school like Maryland or Rutgers (who is probably on par with Iowa). Hell, Steph Curry played at Davidson!

Our recent reputation and history make us a prime landing spot for a 4 star whose looking to make a name for himself. I don’t think it’s as hard a sell to get a 4 star to Loyola now as people might think.

Or even more recently, Ja Morant who went from Murray State to the NBA. Alize Johnson from Missouri State as well. If you have the skill set the NBA wants, they will come for you. Everyone is on TV today, so exposure isn’t as big of a deal as it used to be. If this was 1998 instead of 2021, Krutwig would be there now as well. The NBA game today just doesn’t have many teams that play to fit his size and his style right now.

Klintman just retweeted this Tweet by Drews Shoes:

Does wearing a Loyola Final Four ring mean Bobi is committed to the Ramblers?

Props to the SHOES for being all over this story.

He’s made a post after each visit to date with “#notcommitted”

Nice to see a lot of the guys commenting in there. Hope he announces a commitment soon before any UVA or Kansas visits
