Re: Portal Transfer 2025

I wonder what's up with Jack Turner. He appeared to be overmatched in the minutes he played and didn't seem to have the size/strength to compete in the A10. Maybe he's shown more in practice?

Re: Bradley Preview and Game Thread -- 03/20/2024

I was at the game and agree with the fans that think we weren't ready. We played almost the entire first half without matching the Bradley intensity. If I saw one more Bradley back cut for an easy basket I was going to puke.

One telling stat is that we only had 8 assists. Some of that is bad ...

They can't let whatever zone they're facing to make them stagnant. They have to keep their feet and the ball moving. Once we start standing around it's over.

I saw Steve Watson entertaining a very tall young man before the game but didn't recognize him.

Why in the hell did they stop running the Offense? Last 5-6 minutes of the game all one on one and forced shots. This is why I get down on Drew - control the team for gawd sake.

Re: South Florida Preview and Game Thread -- 12/16/2023

Other than Harvard this season, this is the kind of game that has turned into big Rambler losses. We have struggled to compete with teams that are similarly ranked. One of the main reasons, in my opinion, is our propensity to foul and then foul some more. Against a high paced and athletic team like ...

Re: Goshen College Preview and Game Thread -- 12/9/2023

A win is a win so it's great to see us light up the scoreboard. I would like to have seen more of Miles. I would have loved to see them put him on the free throw line and try to run some offense through him ala Krut although I guess the new rules make those screens more difficult. I just think we ...

Re: Tulsa Preview and Game Thread -- 12/5/2023

Well coached teams know that if they are patient and run screens they will get a mismatch, a foul or an open look against the Ramblers. This has been a characteristic of Drew's defense since Lucas and Aher left. I don't know why he hasen't grown tired of getting lit up and tried something else ...

Re: Harvard Preview and Game Thread -- 12/2/2023

Has to be one of Drew's best coached games. The defensive plan and execution was outstanding. He was also able to take advantage of LU's depth by rotating new players that didn't miss a defensive beat.

I did get a little nervous early in the 2H because the offense seemed to start standing around ...
