Re: Dayton and Saint Louis to Big East Conference?

This has been in the works for a bit - Big East will take Dayton all day — they draw and Pitino is pushing for them.
A-10 will be vacant when this happens from a Midwest fans po8nt of view.

Re: Santa Clara Preview and Game Thread -- 12/20/2025

Per my Miles comment - Amos (an afterthought at 10min a game at Wisco) shows a far more versatile game - absent shot blocking - versus Miles.

So, if you are a P5 guy, you had Miles circled as a get at the end of the season, but now you are watching a well traveled, not overly successful P5 player ...

Re: Santa Clara Preview and Game Thread -- 12/20/2025

I played on a mid-level D1 team in the early 90’s that quit on a coach and man it was awful to ride that season out. I am not a Drew fan, but they don’t win this game if he had lost his team. Two comments:

1) Much needed confidence boost W
2) Rubin’s P5 value is going down the drain with Amos in ...

Re: Chicago State Preview and Game Thread -- 12/14/2025

Well…CSU has now beaten St. Xavier and Loyola in the 25-26 season…and 8 days ago they lost by 40 or so to Illinois State.

Seems mercurial Drew is not able to get this group to take his “hard” coaching. Ugly.

Re: San Jose State Preview and Game Thread -- 11/26/2025

I think all one can say at this point is a fair amount of talent moved on from the program. Miles staying was big as was Love, gotta think both move on after this season. I do think it is worth pointing out that Drew has a very aggressive coaching personality and I wonder if, in this age of pay to ...

Re: Colorado State Preview and Game Thread -- 11/16/2025

I think there are a few things at play, but the primary issue is the keys of a pretty tuned car were handed to Drew and he has struggled since the last of the PM era players have exited. I openly disagreed with the decision to hire Drew and felt that LU had ascended to a level (final 4, sweet 16 ...

That being said (on the defensive side of the ledger) could you ever imagine a PM coached team giving up a Hundo spot like OU did last night?? Different world these days.

Re: Wichita State Preview and Game Thread -- 11/13/2025

I was way early in my negativity on Drew when he was hired, but man it just is not looking too good. Hard to analyze how much was "hidden" with the leftover players from the PM era. I kind of thought after last season that he had come into his own and could build in this crazy portal era.

Not so ...
