Field of 68 did an interview with Coach Drew and discussed the game for about 20 minutes last night. Start at the 31:00 mark...

You might want to move the "I" a little farther from the "F" and dot the "I" to avoid any confusion.

Lol, that was a picture of the dessert from the men's basketball dinner from that year they had their run. Just gonna leave it

USF impressing early in Spokane against #1 Gonzaga. Down 3 at half. Fun game to watch. Their big is battling and playing pretty well against Timme/Holmgren. Maybe we shouldn’t be too too concerned with how much he ate us up.

The Dons showed well, but the Zags pulled away in the second half and won by 16. Just too much talent on the Gonzaga team. Given they were expected to lose by ~15, the Dons only dropped one spot in NET (35-->36). They still have St. Mary's (34 in KenPom) and then rematches against BYU (25 in KenPom) and Gonzaga (1 in KenPom). I think they need to win 2 of those 3 games and then avoid any slip-ups against the lower-ranked WCC teams to remain a Q1 for us (and for them to make the tourney). They do have wins against Davidson (45 in KenPom and running away with the A-10) and UAB (43 in KenPom) in their back pocket which are both aging very well.

Really big win tonight by USF @BYU. BYU is another bubble team and had a very long home winning streak. USF went into Provo and won by double digits which puts the Dons firmly on the right side of the bubble. USF still has a game @St. Mary's and vs Gonzaga. Split those and avoid bad losses and they are safely in. This is likely to be our only win vs a tourney team (not including any AQ) if we have to get in via at-large so we should all be big fans of the Dons going forward.

I think winning that game at a nuetral site and not at home adds some chips to the pot

Yes, but home/road/neutral is factored into the Quadrants. We're 5-1 on the road, which looks good, but we're only 3-4 in Q1 and Q2. We need to pick up some quality wins. Right now, only only Q1/2 opportunities are our road games at MSU, UNI, and Bradley. A couple wins in St. Louis would be handy, too.

USF getting into the tournament would mean the WCC would get 3 teams (assuming St. Marys stays in 2nd place in Conference)...No way will the WCC get 3 teams. Either USF finishes 2nd or wins the tournament, otherwise they won't be in.

Lunardi has four WCC teams in.

I would be utterly shocked if they get more than 2. But...who knows these days!
