Not really surprised.

Isn’t Colorado also playing in the Myrtle Beach tournament we’re scheduled to play in next season? That could be a fun matchup.

I think he had too many voices in his ears that made him a P6 or bust type of guy. Picking Maryland over us is one thing--they have a very strong basketball tradition and it's their top sport. Picking Colorado over us though...

Best of luck to him. We will be fine without him and will continue to be a better program than Colorado.

Bit if a head scratcher, Colorado isn’t a top basketball program and really can only say “they play in the PAC12.” They have put some guys in the NBA but mostly guards, regardless good luck to Bobi and we can move on now.

With our two spots open, who does everyone want to see? Am thinking a combo of Hayden Brown and Sheldon Edwards 1A/Cam Spencer 1B would be a great rounding out of the open spots. A roster with those guys with Golden and Alston should be very competitive in the A10.

Klintman cares about stuff that we dont offer, NBA eyeballs & prestige conference status. It was clear after he decommitted from Maryland and didnt join up that he was looking for brand value stuff. Not every player is going to care about titles the most.

If you follow recruiting a lot, you notice that the runner-up the first time almost never wins the second time around if that recruit de-commits from the first school. Also it was pretty clear his head was turned by all the things that come with a P6 program. Boulder is a great place, and CU has a decent program. It takes a rare kid to commit to Loyola over the same level of interest from a P6 school (other than DePaul).

LUC and Colorado might meet at Fall MTE in Myrtle Beach..
Interesting.
What does LUC need to get next level recruits?
Any ideas?

Have a guy get legitimate NBA minutes. Milton was so close with those 10 games on the Nets a few years back

Consistently be near the top of the A-10 and keep Drew for several years (or get a high-level replacement if he leaves). Similar to Gonzaga in earlier years, just keep showing up in the tournament and building a name for ourselves over time. We need to continue to build our own fan base so that every game is an electric atmosphere. The current students are coming to LUC because it is a basketball school, so that will come with time. I remember struggling to find many guys who even liked sports when I was there haha.
