Personally, I think people are putting too much thought into his visit with Colorado.

Is it possible that's where he ends up? Sure it is. However, it's important to remember that we were his last visit the last time he committed and he went to Maryland. That's the school he visited first.

It's not like Colorado puts out NBA talent or makes the tournament that often either.

Since 2018 Loyola has 3 tournament appearances including a Final Four and a Sweet Sixteen. Colorado has 1 tournament appearance.

Colorado has sent a forward to the NBA since joining the Pac-12. They only send guards.

Like I said, wouldn't be shocked if it's Colorado. However, I don't think it's a lock like some others do.

Any thoughts if we'll go after Brandin Podziemski again? He's transferring from Illinois.

I am sure we will take a shot at podziemski. As we should - what a great pick up he would be.

Podz would be a great pickup and exactly the type of player we should pursue, but he's leaving Illinois bc they couldn't guarantee him a chance to start and we're recruiting transfers at his position. I'm not sure we could guarantee him a shot either, given Marquise and Braden are pretty locked into the guard spots. I don't think our starting 3 can be 6'2"

I know he's listed as that...I'm also an Illinois fan, and there is no chance he's taller than 6'2". He looks point guard sized on the floor.

Regardless of his height, I am sure we will make a run at Podzimenski. He fills the need of the taller rotational shooting guard - same type of player we are already looking for - along with Sheldon Edwards, Tyler Thomas, Cam Spencer, etc. Not sure that whoever we get out of this group will be a starter so if Podziemski has to start, then he may be a no go for us. If we start 3 guards - then whoever we get from this group would start. But I see the "3" starter coming from the slightly taller group of Thomas, Schewiger or Lewis. Yes - Schewiger and Lewis will be freshman - but I am optimistic that one of they may be good enough to crack the line up at some point (this can still happen in mid major college basketball - we just haven't seen it at LU for a few years). Like a few others - I am not sold that Thomas is the default starter at the 3.....good player who will be in the rotation, but not sure he quick enough to play D at that position and not sure he will ever be a consistent outside shooter.

Martinelli is a great HS player, so was his brother. NW is the only school in a legit conference to offer him (assuming it’s not a walk on role). He might be able to play in the big 10 in 3 years, zero chance now.
