Porter is not going to DePaul. Not for 28 million let alone 2.8 million. They'll hire an old P5 coach who wants cash OR they'll hire an assistant to get them to the next level so they can hire from a place of leverage in 2024.

God that’s scary if that’s true. He would get every recruit out of the cpl

Crazy - Richard Pitino was hired by New Mexico about 12 hours after being fired by Minnesota.
Indiana State hires a DII coach - that worked well for us
BC hires the College of Charleston's coach. He made one NCAA tournament in Seven Years at C of C.

Lots of noise with Porters name popping up for Minnesota and DePaul. To a lesser extent Iowa State and Indiana as well, although those feel like a stretch

Archie Miller would be another I would put very high on the list if Moser leaves. He did exceptionally well at Dayton, an urban, catholic school playing in an upper tier mid major conference. He had a 139-63 record with 4 NCAA appearances in six years, and a 4-3 record in the tournament. His problem at Indiana is that he simply could not land the big time recruits necessary to compete in the Big 10. I would expect a return to a program where he can win with his kind of players will see a return to incredible success.

Because they would recruit on a crazy level. Every kid from Chicago would go to DePaul. Kenny Payne is a big whisper. Payne and T Anderson who their assistant whould be scary on the recruiting trail
