Only a few years ago, this was a big deal for Loyola fans. Remember? This year they're already into the top 100 before anyone here has posted anything.
https://www.collegesportsmadness.com/me ... 4-previewsInteresting stuff so far:
They have A-10 conference members Umass (137), URI (133), and George Mason (115) in their Top 144.
Indiana State is #125 (??!?!)-- are they putting ISUb high up in the MVC, higher than Umass and URI in the A10? Drake is probably the front runner in the MVC, but who is between Drake and ISUb? Not ISUr, not UE, not Valpo, not UNI, not UIC, probably not Missouri State after losing Mosley and Prim... Murray lost a lot from what I've heard and T-Rank has them at 196. Looks like Drake (around 60), SIU (around 90) and Bradley (around 100).
I like the Missouri Valley Conference, and I think they did well to add the teams they did over the past year. But this is going to be a tough one for the conference. Even if we were still there, we'd only be around where Drake is. The other teams that have been Top 100 the past few years-- Missouri State, UNI-- are down in the 180s or worse. Belmont and Murray will be down, even by the standards of moving up in conference. UIC will be a drag for several years.
Wichita State (106), Boise State (104), DePaul (102) and Northwestern (101) are just below the top 100-- we have a chance to play Boise State in Myrtle Beach and have DePaul at home.
Really looking forward to more specific conference schedule news so I can make road trip plans....
