The final stretch of non-conference could be huge in determining how comfortable we feel in March. Road games at Vandy [redacted] could potentially be borderline quad 1 games, depending on how the rest of their respective seasons go. [redacted] Vandy is currently hovering around 70-80 in Kenpom ranking. [redacted].

Hopefully a lot of the bench gets some good minutes against Roosevelt. Not just for the future, but for depth this year to guard against potential injuries.

Looked up Davidson's roster. They have a bunch of players from exotic locales: South Korea, New Zealand, Iceland, Denmark, Austria, England, Ohio.

Forgot they were in the Atlantic 10. Will be interesting to see how their crowd treats us.

I forget. He's the one from Iceland, right?

I'm looking forward to JCT's preview of tomorrow's tilt with Roosevelt (which I will not be attending). They have 31 players on their roster.

But, we will need to beat them and Simeon before we can really say we're city champs.

Simeon is down this year; Kenwood is the team to beat.
And don't sleep on the DIRTBALLERS Intramural B Team from Mertz Hall, 9th Floor!

Hey Swella, speaking of the DIRTBALLERS, do you have any idea if the freshman beat the sophomores in the annual pushball contest this year?
In my freshman year, 1960, we trounced the sophomores.

Get with the times!

Loyola eliminated competitive pushball in 2002. In the modern version, "First Years" (the antiquated term "Freshmen" is exclusionary and sexist) and sophomores join hands to push the ball together from the same side.

The ball describes a gentle circuit around campus, symbolizing that cooperation, not competition, is the correct path in life, and the best way to overcome our common burdens, create a more just and equitable society, while still embracing and celebrating diversity.

Everybody gets a Participation Trophy.

I get it!
There are no losers. But there are no winners.
Nobody fails. But nobody succeeds.
Everybody exists at the same level of mediocrity.
What a goal for which to strive.
Let's call it equity.
