I didn't see this one coming, but President Rooney just tendered her resignation in order to replace legendary singer Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers. Medley is retiring after over 50 years in show business. The remaining Righteous Brother, Bucky Heard (himself a replacement for original member Bobby Hatfield), said he anticipated a seamless transition. "While nobody can truly replace Bill, Joe Rooney has the hair, the commanding presence, the smoldering masculinity, and definitely the hair to keep the Righteous Brothers "righteous". She just needs some time in a tanning booth".

Re Cost of Testing Players for Coronavirus. 120k per team is a big number. One way to reduce costs might be to do pooled testing.

Ivy League - no fall sports. Maybe football in the Spring. No winter sports, including basketball, until maybe January at the earliest.

Stanford just cut a bunch of sports, including men's volleyball.

Things are looking more and more bleak each day. It'll be our best roster in, well, maybe forever and we might not even get to see them play.

The Ohio State and Ivy League developments tell you where we are in college athletics—adrift, lacking answers and failing to gain ground on a relentless pandemic. The Stanford development tells you where we’re going if the current trends continue—toward the economic obliteration of college sports as we know them.

Almost everyone will be eliminating sports. Absolutely everyone will be slashing budgets. Scholarships, educational opportunities and jobs will all disappear in large numbers.

Sheesh, while I am attempting to spread comfort and joy through my "wacky" and "hilarious" posts about rock bands named "Vector of Contagion", a Korean baseball team full of "Kims", Japanese lesbian softball players, a free throw shooting dog who never misses, a RAMA LAMA DING DONG acronym, and President Rooney as a replacement Righteous Brother, the rest of you Pandemic Putzes are preaching the gospel of doom and gloom, of a post- apocalyptic world without college athletics.
You Negative Nancys suck...but I'm still going to post "wacky" and "hilarious" stuff on this thread, just for spite. You can put a mask on Swella, but you can't make him shut up.
