Loyola beat #2 UC-Irvine in Provo on Saturday to give Mark Hulse his first win as head coach. This came after Loyola, ranked #3 in the preseason poll, lost to #9 UC Santa Barbara at home and lost to #1 BYU in Provo. So it will be interesting to see where the voters put the Ramblers after two losses and a win over top 10 foes.

If they had gone 0-3 they'd probably drop out of the top ten. #6 is good. The Irvine win is big on many fronts. First win for Coach Hulse as you mentioned, first win of the season, first road win, and a win against the west coast despite losing two previously. It's something to build on.
