Today was women's basketball A10 Media Day. Loyola was selected 13th of 15 teams. Personally, I think they should have been picked higher either at 9th or 10th.

If you'd like some more insight about media day or about the changes this year in the women's program, take a quick read of my article on A10talk.com: https://www.a10talk.com/coach-and-players-chart-the-change-at-loyola-chicago/

Hey, thanks for posting this.

We're in a new conference with a first-year coach. I understand why we're ranked low. Our soccer teams have struggled a bit more than I thought in the new conference. The women's volleyball team is doing great-- as predicted.

The thing I've noticed so far is A10 teams on the women's side rely primarily on size rather than speed or sheer athleticism. It's a bit true for the men, also, but not as much.

The MVC is a pretty decent women's basketball conference... Missouri State has made some good runs, UNI is good usually. We've climbed the MVC standings to become a mid-level team the past two years. So I think we might be a bit underrated here.

Hey thanks for the kind words. Yeah, that's definitely some interesting insight about how the athletes in the conference seem to operate with size and athleticism. I too was surprised especially at how the Women's soccer team was struggling a bit. As for the WBB team, i think they'll be fun to watch. I'm hopeful that the St. John's transfer Nolan Twins will be very good. And I think Sitori Tanin will have a much increased role.
