Alternative headline: Road Woes No Mo! Pomeroy's stats now project us favored in 12 conference games, finishing with a 10-8 record. That would put us at 20-10 heading to Arch Madness. Somebody talk me down. That's not really possible, is it? |

Somebody talk me down. That's not really possible, is it? I see no reason why we can't sweep ISUb, Drake, Bradley, and SIU. That gives us 8 wins right there. Then split with ISUr, Missouri St and Evansville. Puts us at 11-7. It is definitely possible. |

On WarrenNolan.com, we're projected for a 13-5 conference season, finishing with an RPI of 58. http://warrennolan.com/basketball/2015/predictedrpi I think we really did sneak up on a few teams, especially Kent State and Texas Tech. Neither was prepared for our game planning. You can bet MVC teams will be ready. We'll have to bring it every night in league play. But even if we could go 9-9 in conference, it would be huge. It would be just enough, probably, to earn a bid to a C-tournament and get that 30-year old monkey off our backs. |

Nice review, JCT. I'll also cop to being surprised by the Ramblers' success so far this year, given their lack of size and high roster turnover. I'm still not 100% convinced that their 10-2 record hasn't been achieved mostly through smoke and mirrors. One other possibility was that I underestimated the negative juju Grace Calhoun's presence cast upon the program last season, and didn't foresee how her departure would prove to be such a tonic. Looking forward to conference play, I think 9-9 is reasonable, Pomeroy's 10-8 is achievable, but Warren Nolan's 13-5 is a pipe dream. But I've been wrong so far this season, so I hope that trend continues and we continue to overachieve. |

Terrific write-up 63 !! Its all about trusting one another and TALENT. I am honestly thinking that this team does not realize how little it is--They just work HARDER !! All of them. My first mea culpa--KNUTH is a good player--Came through when needed. Depth ?? We have it. Now then, our opening schedule in Valley will not be easy--If we get through the first six games at 3-3 . Look out Valley . But you know what ? Win or lose against this bunch is far better than where we were. |
