Through the first five games, I thought I'd look at a few stats and pull out the ones that show where we are really struggling. According to https://barttorvik.com/team.php?team=Loyola+Chicago&year=2026: LUC is... -346th in 3P% against, giving up 41.6% -352nd in offensive block %, with 20% of our 2 pt shots getting blocked -327th in giving up offensive rebounds, with opponents rebounding 38.8% of their missed shots -295th in forcing turnovers -350th in opponent free throw shooting, with them hitting 81% at the stripe, and LUC is 200th in how many times they send the other teams to the line None of this is surprising if you've watched the games -- defense is a wispy-thin slide of swiss cheese, and our guys get completely dominated around the rim. But it's notable just how bad we are, close to the bottom of division 1 in these, and we've got a roster full of 4-stars, 3-stars, and high-major transfers. |

sometimes stats dont lie ...and this is one of those times...we look like the stats...Just do not have the players to do what they want..defensively or offensively...gotta change something up |
