Lots to discuss here, and to brainstorm, and to opinionate on.

It's been noted one of our biggest needs and top agenda items is a score-first type of point guard. Most ideal to bring in a PG with some height, who can create his own instant offense, but who can also play defense too. Importantly.... must FIT this system, the roster, the chemistry we have, and LUC culture.

Jhamir Brickus of LaSalle has been identified as target #1. But if that doesn't work out? What's plan B.

I have gotten lost within the other threads and in X-world in following who else our staff could be seriously targeting. At this point, 25% of D1 basketball has now entered the portal. And maybe the staff has reached out to a hundred too....

How does everyone else feel about other available PG's in the portal? There are some really good ones.

Looking at the list, I wonder what Malik Mack of Harvard could be thinking. Top rated PG in the portal. I had to miss the Harvard game and didn't get to see him unfortunately.

I'd find it more valuable and worthwhile to recruit a PG with multiple years eligibility rather than a 1-year 5th year guy.

I know a couple buddy's on the Twitter are doing a good job with keeping a portal tracker. Please chime in if able to. I'm also bored being basketball-less now that our year has ended.....

We do need 2 front court guys, and now have a 4th available roster spot open, but this PG hunt intrigues me the most and could be the most integral and crucial piece to next year's success. March success is all about guard play (but this year it's been centers, and we already have that stud) ....

How about a 6’3” Pg who started 30 games on a 20 win team, who also has two years of eligibility left?

Sounds like a pretty good get.

Not the best shooter, but neither was Watson pre-Loyola. I think Justin will be a good piece to share PG duties with JQ. I do still want to see JQ get a shot to be our primary day one PG.

Justin seems to fit our mold of getting guys who are athletic and able to be (or become) ferocious defenders.

That's one need checked off. Let's see what else Coach Drew can do in the portal. Would love a quality big to share minutes with Miles. Another 3-and-D guy like Dawson. And then an athletic defense-first type guy who can guard any position.
