Forgot to add when I saw this the other day. Obviously not official, but Kevin Sweeney is Chicago based for Sports Illustrated and is around the Loyola program a lot, so I’d say it’s legit.

Great game for both programs if it is in fact true.

Loyola gets SLU, Dayton, St Joes, and Davidson twice.

Set the projected top half of the league up well too,

Quote:
Dayton, VCU, Loyola, Saint Louis, and Saint Joseph's all play at least two of the other four in that top tier twice. SLU gets all four twice, Loyola, Dayton, VCU get three of four twice.

I'm honestly pretty content not playing UIC. Personally, I think that if DePaul and NU won't entertain playing us, then we don't owe it to UIC (or Chicago State) to play them. I wouldn't mind us scheduling a home and home with another former Valley opponent though. Preferably, we could find someone closer to the top of the league than UIC. I do like the San Francisco matchup though.

From what i was told regarding the UIC matchup, we believed it would sell tickets on their end and create a good CBB atmosphere. That has failed to happen and as a result there just isn't really any reason in continuing the game.
