DePaul is first. Tony Stubblefield fired. DePaul is the first program to make a coaching change amongst the power conferences. The tradition continues.

Wonder who they'll target. Some early reports are Wardle from Bradley and Schertz from ISUb. I think both should stay put and wait for a better job. Bet some better P6 programs will target them this offseason. DePaul has to be one of the worst P6 jobs out there.

Ron Hunter. Tom Crean. Will Wade. Bobby Hurley. Pat Kelsey. Bryce Drew. Chris Mack. If all 7 decline as they should, then who knows.....

Did the Meyers curse them?!?

I remember when they fired Leitao (again) there were fans on their board talking about how they were too good for Porter. Sucks to suck assholes. Keep holding onto that conference name while you lose by 25 a game night in night out.

The only attraction for De Paul is membership in Big East. Other than that, it's a dumpster fire. They will have to overpay. They would be better suited going after a high energy younger coach at a good mid Major program. They need to find the next Shaka. These retreads won't solve their issues.

Coach Valentine was mentioned on discussion on the Mully -Haugh show and in the Sun Times article discussing possible replacements. Consensus seemed to be they needed a more experienced coach to go up against Big East big time coaches....but that Depaul could afford to outpay LU for Coach Valentine's services... My thoughts are that Drew has a little more work to do to build that resume, a little more experience etc.
But stupid Depaul to fire some one mid-season and send every player wondering if their coach is leaving.

Any clue what DePaul's bball budget and NIL contributions are? The way they operate is like that of a poverty franchise.
