Drove up to DeKalb last night to watch Northern Iowa play the Huskies.
I had mixed feelings watching Jacob Hutson play a real good game on the floor- 11 pts and 6 assists and demonstrating good teamwork and court smarts.The offense works through him most of the time,with him setting ball screens at the top of the key and then getting return open look passes after the screen.At other times,when getting the ball at the top of the key,he would quickly find open teammates with quick crisp passes- shades of Cameron Krutwig.Yes,I know he was very inconsistent as a Rambler,but he really showed me a lot of maturity last night as the Panthers starting center.What if- if he had stayed at Loyola this year? Just saying.

On another note ,saw Wes Rubin sitting on the bench in sweat clothes with a cast on his right foot.Talked to a Panther assistant coach after the game and he said Rubin is out for the year.He said they really like the potential of him being a very good player.What if? I’,m just saying.

On another note,saw that Saint Thomas had another excellent game last night against Air Force.What if ? I’m just saying.
