18 second half points. 42 second half points allowed. Gross

18 points in the second half? 18!

If it weren’t for Phil, the final score could have been 72-33 LOL

Other than Alston, the rest of the offense is regularly non-existent Schweigs, Kennedy, Quinn Golden and Norris haven't been much of an offensive threat. This was a winnable game, more than Dayton will be. Just frustrating.

13 second half turnovers and it looked like they did the exact opposite of what worked in the 1st half. So disappointing...

33 total points outside of Phil.

This was a ridiculous performance. Coming off of the Bonnie game, we play a good 1st half. We come out in the 2nd half and can’t do anything right. We don’t score for 9 minutes out of half time. We had 5 TOS in 1st half and in the 2nd half we commit 13 TOS. We shoot 4-8 from the line, several front end of 1-1s. We fouled way too much as Welch and Golden in foul trouble entire game.

Dukes scored 41 in second half to our 18.

Complete regression from any progress we made coming into this one with TOS. This team is is frustrating to watch. Every time you think they are making progress, they prove otherwise.

Man I’m trying really hard to stay positive about this team in the long run but it’s getting harder and harder. Moments where we look great but so many more moments where we look like we have absolutely no clue what we are doing. Really at a loss….

Im starting to get a little concerned about losing all of the momentum the last 5 years have brought us. Just frustrating and really disappointing. Talent-wise we shouldn’t be this bad.

End Rant. And always and forever Go ‘Blers.

If we lost this game by two points after a slow, steady comeback by the home team, I would have been satisfied that we were making progress. Never thought we'd win this game, glad we played so well in the 1st half. But to lose by not scoring at all for 9 minutes to start the 2nd, and then just totally giving up with 3-4 minutes left is not progress.

It's a little worse, actually, knowing that we CAN play well, that we CAN avoid turnovers, that we CAN play tough defense, have a successful game plan, etc. but keeping it up for too long is... what? Tiresome? Too taxing? A hassle when you've already proved that you can hang? And the coaching should have stopped the bleeding earlier. Crazy.

What has Sheldon Edwards done to not get any time? Sure, his defense is subpar but none of these guys can defend at the level we are used to. He has to be in the dog house. Someone already said it, but there is zero offense outside of Phil.

What if we don’t go into the locker room at the half and just shoot around or something?
Seems like nothing good goes on in there.

Exactly. Losing is one thing, but that was ugly. No way we should have lost by 14. We even came back to re-take the lead!

My theories:

- We just have turnover-prone players. Quinn and Schweiger? They're freshmen, so I hope to see improvement. Welch and Golden? No way bigs should have that many turnovers. Norris and Kennedy? They're on the smaller side, facing tougher pressure defense, and at least with Norris, playing a million minutes. Fatigue? Injury?

So, is it a case of offense impacting defense? It happens with young guys, and we always have a freshman or two out there. You turn it over and forget what the hell you're doing on defense.

I don't know. When things are going well, we look pretty good. There's just no ability to sustain it.
