It’s definitely been more like a slow turn of a freight ship than a quick flip of a switch. You could see it slowly happening, but when and where they finally got it straightened out was unclear. Great progress this game. And great work, again |

With 11 newcomers, there was bound to be some growing pains - particularly in finding the most efficient lineup to start with. I think we finally have our starting lineup and we're doing a much better job of subbing when it's needed. If you haven't been following the rest of A-10, i could see how the first 6 or 7 games have been disappointing, but the reality is -- we still are capable of being in the hunt for an A-10 title and the auto-bid. I think Golden getting up to speed is going to be a very important part of this team's ability to take the next step forward. Aside from an 8 minute stretch where we squandered our lead against DePaul, this team has been playing great the past two weeks. The turnovers are going to start coming down, and when they do -- look out. |

Yes and no. I think we made some of the same mistakes Saturday night that we made against Depaul. The difference is that Depaul made their shots and Clemson didn't. Obviously we're improving but I think the difference in outcome from Depaul to Clemson is more dramatic than the difference in our play alone and has more to do with Depaul hitting a bunch of low percentage deep threes and Clemson airballing layups. We're definitely going in the right direction though and I'm impressed that the coaching staff and players do not seem to have shown any panic with the rough start to the year. |
