Thank you for posting this. I usually just go straight to the message board so would have missed this article. Great stuff!

In case you can't find it, here's a link to the first part of the all time team rankings (21 through 25) with the intro, methodology for the ranking, etc.: https://www.ramblermania.net/stories/th ... t-2-16-20/

Here's a link to part two (16-20), just posted: https://www.ramblermania.net/stories/th ... t-2-16-20/

Just posted Part 4 of this series, discussing teams #6 though #10. There might be some controversy.

I was curious how you would rate the 2018 team against 2021. Pretty tough call in my book. Wish I'd gotten to see the 21 team play in person.

I've got the 2020-21 team ranked a few spots ahead of the 2018 team. I'll explain the reasoning/data in the next article.

Watch for the top 5 teams coming Thursday afternoon, which will include TWO teams that had an undefeated regular season, a team that beat the National Champion and lost the NIT Final by one point, and a Civil Rights underdog team that won the National Championship with a record 15-point come-from-behind win in the Final that stood for 59 years.

Just published the final part, the top 5 teams.

https://www.ramblermania.net/stories/th ... the-top-5/

Didn't expect this to top 10,000 words, but here we are. Added extra pictures to illustrate. Hope everyone liked the series. It was fun to put together.

JCT...Thanks and what a fun read.....The history of the game you incorporated was fascinating. Who knew LU had rubbed elbows with Cousy and Wooden. Also interesting to me was the diversity of the teams who came to prominence in the 20.s and 30's.(Roanoke, Montana State etc)..Also that college teams used to play against non-college teams. I do remember as a kid Bradley playing against the Caterpillar team and other industrial teams..like Keystone Steel....and I knew nothing about our first African American player. Thanks again. Great read.
Made me start thinking about my favorite Rambler Players...!!!
