In case you didn't see it on Twitter, Aher signed a pro contract with his home team in Edmonton and I thought he was deserving of his own thread.

It was quite the career for Aher with a lot of ups and downs, but looking back at the player we got when he first transferred, to what we saw as a graduate student athlete was night and day different. His year over year progressions were well documented and discussed on this board, but you can't talk about the success of our program the last few years without mentioning Aher. I hope he does well!

Remember hearing that Aher was "dominating" in practice in his redshirt year. Didn't see that at all initially although you could see the athleticism. He could not shoot the ball with any level of consistency or accuracy. That said, the progress this young man made every year was incredible to watch. All credit to him. I don't remember a player who made as many strides as Aher. So incredible to watch him grow as a player and really proud of him. All the best to him.

even through his lean offensive years Aher provided us with a lot of the little things,,rebounds, steals, defense, loose balls....a guy who could guard multiple positions..just one of those pieces of the puzzle we had that made the wheel turn.....

Good for Aher. I hope this works out for him. He always represented the program with class and as someone pointed out, did so many of the little things. For example, he was good for at least one tap out that led to an extra possession and likely a bucket each half.
