| Post subject: | Will MVC Basketball Style Change? |
I was just wondering. Sports is so often about copying the leader and what they do. In the MVC's case, we have dominated the league the last five years and we did it with elite defense. Many of the other teams teams replicated us in order to play with us. Our office was always good enough to score on bad defenses and the MVC seemed to become a more physical and defensive league. I mention this because when you look at Murray State and Belmont, they are not slow plodding teams. Murray is 5 in adjusted pace and Belmont is 28. It will be interesting to see now that Loyola is out, if the rest of the schools start to change to more up tempo and less physical basketball. May give me a reason to watch some MVC next year. |
