Defense was awesome this past weekend. Some of the best we have played in a while. The bigs were very aggressive on ball screens, we cut down on getting beat back door and we were back to deflecting passes and getting into passing lanes better. Pretty defense. NIU in particular just looked lost against us.

As far as Schweiger is concerned, he played some good defense at times over the weekend and his positioning was much better. He gets into trouble when he does two things wrong and they are obvious and a ref has to call them. These two things are bad fouls when he gets them and it is kinda frustrating to watch. The two things are 1. he reaches out when guys are dribbling and going to the hoop. You just can't reach out with two hands and not expect a foul to be called; and 2. He has a tendency to get some decent position with his hands straight up and then...at the very last moment...he brings them down and there is contact and a foul. He cleans this up and he can stay on the floor. He was having such a good weekend offensively, it hurt when he kept getting in foul trouble.
