Tough to criticize Lucas with how good he's been tonight and recently. But he just has to be better from the FT line.

Lucas has been great! Sometimes it's hard to make those freebies when you're exhausted and banged up.

Norris coming through with some clutch shots to close the game.

Ramblers grind out another W.

Proud of this team!

Pretty clear that Valley teams, at least the bottom-half teams we've played, believe the only way they can beat us is with extreme physicality. More than X's and O's, more than personnel, I think that's been the difference to start these games. We have to come out looking to deliver the first punch. Metaphorically.

In-game rage posting can't be held against the poster. Those are the rules.

These last few games have kinda felt like we’re Rocky against Drago in Rocky IV. Pummeled early, but somehow survive and win with a furious comeback.

Good to get another win. As most of said, every valley game is tough and every team is going to give us their best shot. Way to grind out a win guys, some positives to take away from the past week is that we can come back and we have the edge in close games. It’s not great giving up 10+ leads to middling valley teams but today I didn’t lose faith that they would come back (unlike against Valpo and Bradley). This can only help in Arch Madness and hopefully the Tourney.

Of course we want to see them crush teams, but they are taking care of business and hopefully this is a midseason slump that they will play their way out. Definitely have some things to clean up, shooting, free throws this game, too much standing around, need to move and cut more. Coaching needs to improve too, Coach is taking his lumps the past few days and hopefully he will get the team more ready to go from first whistle. Another thing, has been said repeatedly, Huston needs to come off the bench. He is not being done any favors starting and getting his confidence shaken up offensively and defensively early. He and the team would be better served as a sub and to see Knight start in his place for a quicker start then he can come in and give some good energy. Hopefully Coach V makes some changes but we will see.

Good win, rest up and on to Evansville.

The Final 4 squad went through a similar phase before figuring it out and going on a big run. If you look back on that season, we lost back to back games at Milwaukee and Missouri State. We squeaked by a mediocre Evansville team, and then lost to Indiana State by 2. Many of our Valley games that season were close, but we went on a 10 game winning streak and won out in St. Louis.

I hope you're right but playing Devil's advocate that was also the stretch of the season where Custer and Richardson were hurt.

However, I think that this team is finding their footing coming out of the covid break. Going a month without playing a competitive game into a stretch with 5 games in 4 cities in 12 nights is tough. This team will be fine.
