At least you can say this team doesn't quit. Glad to get the win even if it was ugly.

Wow. Uhhh…championship-level comeback 2.0 I guess? Now seriously….Rest, rest, and rest some more before Saturday at ISU. Still have bad memories from our first game there last year.

Look, say what you will but this team just finds a way to compete in every game.

Despite playing our 2 worst games of the year we move to 12-2 and 3-0 in the valley and we just won our 30th straight home game. The only teams to beat us are #4 Auburn and #10 Michigan State

There's obviously concerning signs with this team, but let's be real. This team isn't going to shoot 3/20 from three again this season. That's pretty much the only reason we didn't run away with this one in regulation.

We get Indiana State on the road next. They've won 4 of their last 5 and 5 of their last 7. We beat them soundly in our first matchup this year. They're coming off a game where they blew a lead in the second half and lost in OT to UNI. Here's hoping this game goes smoother than the last two, but somehow I doubt it.

I mean. Wow.

No legs. No shot. No problem?

These are games and wins that can make for special seasons.

Conference games are hardly ever easy. They’re really tough when you have to fight the schedule, too.

Thrilled with the win, another great comeback, way to be like the Goonies and never say die. Norris and Kennedy really stepped up, great game fellas, Especially Norris in OT.

That being said, whether it’s travel, lots of games scheduled close together, post covid fatigue, etc. Coach V has to figure it out, team can’t sleep walk the first half, most of the second, and continue pull out a miracle wins. Sure everyone is happy with the win, no argument there. Should def not be happy with how the post two occurred. Let’s get the guys a much earned break and refocused. Go Ramblers!

We probably had no business winning that game. But thank the Lord for Valpo sloppy turnovers near the end of regulation and for Braden finally catching fire in OT.

Hope the next two days are nothing but rest, ice and film sessions. Indiana State is playing well and just took UNI to OT @UNI with only 7 guys (no Neese). Schertz' system seems to be working for them and they played us really well @ Gentile.

30 game home winning streak is simply incredible. Well done, guys. Gutted out the last two wins when nothing seemed to be working. Learn from it, get better and let's keep it rolling.

My post-game thoughts:

1. Before anyone freaks out too hard - go back and look at the Michigan State and Auburn highlights on YouTube. This team is perfectly capable of playing with big boys at a high level. They’re just in a mid season slump right now - and despite that - they keep winning. 3-20 from three is not what this team is. Had they been just 6 for 20, it still would have been bad but they would have had a lead and forced Valpo not to run the clock. They will clean it up.

2. Veteran leadership saves the day again. Amazing job by Braden to have the confidence to knock down big shots in the overtime.

3. Wow, did Valpo players implode. I’m blown away at all the mistakes they made down the stretch in regulation.

4. Drew - please stop starting Hutson. He’s a project with potential but we are obviously better off with a smaller Knight. If we keep having these slow starts and don’t change anything, it’s concerning. We need to get our offense going out-of-the gate, and Hutson stifles our ability to do that. I don’t care if we give up points early if we are also scoring points early, and Knight gives us a far better chance at doing that. If you don’t trust Hutty in the second half, why do you put so much faith in him in the first half??? Bring him off the bench for relief minutes and take the pressure off of him.

5. To Keith Clemons - Loyola fans are behind you! If you start playing more - great! If things don’t get better for you this season - you’ve still been an awesome part of this program. I hope we see you have a break out game soon.
