maybe the thought was to get everyone healthy for Conference play......as they would be a forfeit if not played.....fingers crossed.
Rick Telanders article in Sun Times today was a good read.

Davidson had to scramble after we weren't able to play the. They ended up landing #10 Alabama...and beat them by 1. Huge help to their resumé. Wish we could reschedule with them as they are looking like the class of the A10.

I can't decide if we should be disappointed for not getting to play them, or if we should feel like we dodged a bullet.

Either way, I'm still excited we'll be in the A-10 next year.

I don’t think Alabama is as good as their ranking suggests. At least not right now.

Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Other conferences are reversing course, realizing it's idiotic to punish a team affected by a global pandemic. It'll be interesting to see how the NCAA treats these forfeits. Will they only be taken into account for conference seeding/championships or will the NCAA consider them losses on a team's resume?

Either way, guess it's good our pause is before conference season kicks off. Hopefully it's our only one of the year. I think every team will be affected at some point.

I read somewhere that they only count for conference standings.

So if both teams have COVID positives, they both lose?

All games should be played. All players should be allowed to play. covid notwithstanding. If a school elects not to field a team for a scheduled game, it forfeits.
