I like your optimism about the crowd! And I hope you're right.
I was being uncharacteristically "reasonable" and "judicious". I just wonder what DePaul fans think about this match up. Nothing so far about it on their message board.
I also wonder how many Loyola students will travel to the game and pay full freight.

What % of the crowd do you think will be Rambler fans?

Yeah I was surprised they don't have a thread about it.

I'm hoping for half Rambler fans, but you're right that the student part could make a big difference, as well as whatever season tickets they have. I keep picturing it as a neutral site game, which it is not.

There will be hopefully a decent amount of students there. The Athletics Department ran a $15 ticket promo with free transportation to/from the game for the first 100 students to sign up…it sold out within 10 minutes. From what I’ve heard a decent amount of others are planning to pay full price to be there.

Sounds like it should be a good turnout, a lot of recent graduates have never even seen Loyola play Depaul. I leveraged that to easily get six of my friends to buy tickets.

Attendance: 6,774.

Less than I thought and the upper deck end zones were basically empty.

It was hard to judge, but do people think it was close to 50/50?

They were complaining about rowdy, ill-mannered Loyola fans on their message board.

Give the Lincoln Parkers a little taste of Rogers Park.

Funny, the only ill-mannered fans I encountered were the DePaul fans who constantly stood up to get in and out of their seats during play.

I do feel like I appreciate our student section much more after this game for not having to resort to cheers such as “fuck Loyola” or adding “sucks” to the end of various cheers we did. Just very low effort, much like their scarf giveaway and $2 beer promo.
