I think it rules. Playing slu Dayton and st bonaventure is pretty exciting. Not sure what the downsides are? |

As long as we can afford the increase in budget costs I am happy to be in a basketball first conference. The MVC Football schools having a large say in the conferences future concerned me as a basketball only school. Additionally the closer relationships with other Jesuit schools is excellent as well. |

It's an exciting move for sure. I'll be interested to see if there's an increase in spending and program resources with the move. Minimally, I imagine the athletics budget will have to increase due to travel. For comparison sake, the average men's basketball budget in the A10 is almost $5 million. In the MVC it's slightly under $3 million. Loyola's budget is reported to be about $4.3 million which is tops in the Valley but middle of the pack in the A10.
