Good question. I'm surprised to see them drop two home games in a row. Green looked better tonight though. It may take some time for them to get back into a groove.

Vermont was apparently playing without their best player as well.

MSU seems to excel at underachieving, so I’m not surprised by that.

I’m not completely shocked by UNI, either. They really weren’t very good last year, and people seemed to assume AJ Green would just step in and be some sort of savior. Even if he returns to his self two years ago, I always suspected their problems were more than one player away from being fixed. And I don’t know how you can just assume he’s going to be back to what he was two years ago with the injury he had. If I remember, it was a similar injury to what Cooper Kaifes battled, and we know he wasn’t the same when he came back.

Same injury, but I believe Green had surgery on both hips, not just one.

Brutal start for UNI. In hindsight last year's poor start seems less like a result of AJ Green's hips and more the construction of the team.

Although Indiana St is getting handled pretty easily by Purdue (ranked #7) they look much better than I anticipated....played pretty fast....looked pretty athletic..

They covered!

Bradley down at half by 11 at home vs Howard (a MEAC team).

And Valpo lost to UIC. Another banner day for the Valley.
