UNI loses 93-80. Some bad offensive possessions down the stretch (turnovers and bad shots) made the score look a lot worse than the game was. UNI played even with them for 37 minutes. AJ Green looked a little better in the 2nd half but shot 6-21 overall (4-13 from 3). Berhow was on fired for the Panthers going 7-11 from deep.

Woulda been a nice Valley win. Panthers don't play again until next Saturday. Would have been nice to have a game this weekend to build on this momentum.

Indiana State is absolutely obliterating Old Dominion, who usually fields a decent team (currently 70-24). This would set up a semifinal showdown tomorrow between the Sycamores and Porter Moser's Sooners who barely got by East Carolina today in the Myrtle Beach Invitational.

Not MVC related but DePaul squeaked by a decent Rutgers team in the Gavitt Games 73-70. Was not expecting that

If you've noted how many Big East teams defeated Big 10 teams, you might not be surprised.... Seton Hall over Michigan (in Ann Arbor), Xavier over Ohio State in Cincy, Marquette over Illinois, Providence at Wisconsin.... And George Mason knocked off #20 Maryland in College Park.

Yet still, the Big 10 hangs on to top conference marks in Ken Pom...

Me neither, as a BE follower. What a difference the new coach Stubblefield has made; but anyone would be better than Leitao.

Indiana State will be playing Oklahoma in the Myrtle Beach Invitational later today. That will be an interesting game.

Porter and the Sooners are playing against the Indiana State Sycamores on ESPN2. Go Sycs!

Cheering on a fellow MVC team to beat a P5 team in the "Around The MVC" discussion thread. Not that serious, "dude."

Sycs hung close for a bit but Oklahoma was shooting hot and pulled away.

Bradley played their best game of the year against Colorado State, who is considered one of the top mid-majors. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough and the Rams (one of the few Rams outside of the A-10) won 66-60.

Salukis take down previously undefeated Colorado (#44 in KenPom) in the first round of the Paradise Jam. Great win. They'll go on to play Northeastern in the semis. Winnable game would give them a shot at the Colorado State/Creighton winner in the championship.
