1. Too bad there are not significant defensive stats....Uguak is a monster defensive player and tremendously improved on the offensive side of the ball.
2. The lack of LU players vying for individual awards highlites the key to their success.....

With one week and 13 games left to play, I have another set of power rankings for you (freshly published). Assist to Matt Hackman as his probability charts are referenced repeatedly.

Inspired by the guys at @MarchArchPod, I took a dive into the depths of MVC mediocrity in an attempt to dig up the single worst Valley basketball team this millennium. What was my conclusion? Click below, dear reader, to find out.

My latest article compares the MVC basketball programs from 2001-2022 over several different metrics. I attempt to answer the question of who has been the best program in the league this millennium.

I put together a quick preview featuring all 13 MVC related games in the various men's and women's postseason tournaments featuring a handy list of when and where to watch them at the bottom.

OK, I don't know if you're ever coming back here, but I've had it.

Loyola did EVERYTHING everybody in the league wanted, in a league that made damn sure we knew no one wanted us. Really-- you can't say it was just the Wichita people, a large and vocal part of every fan base hated us. They never hated Valpo, the Crusaders were welcomed into the conference. We were the ONLY team that got the shit.

And let me be clear-- we were NEVER problematic conference-mates. We never had sex scandals, or recruiting scandals. We never drilled down on other conference teams to humiliate and taunt them like Wichita State did to us. We never had players that kicked other players in the chest, and we never laid down against other teams like some that have had coaching or ethics problems. We did the right thing all along. We supported other teams. We were polite when we travelled to other venues. We never sent people to try to disrupt the home court environment of other teams like Bradley and Illinois State did to us.

The online and asshole MVC crowd asked-- begged and pleaded-- for Belmont and Murray over us. Now they got it.

We did things the right way-- instead of leaving with six weeks notice like Wichita State, or two months notice like Creighton, we gave almost eight months notice. We said we were leaving, and we did it facing everyone. And again, we got more crap than anyone else.

Maybe we're mediocre or bad for the next decade in the A10. It's better than being the Despised Cash Cow of the MVC.

To use the Beat words:

"As the season has progressed, I have been more and more ambivalent about Loyola after their announced move out of the Valley. They are no longer part of the fraternity, they’ve moved on, and it is what it is. I have no hate for the Ramblers, they just are not really “one of us” anymore."

We agree with you! Please stop coming here, its clear y'all don't want us around anymore and everyone is happy with their new arrangements. You have 3 new boards to post on anyway.
