Hello All,

My preview for this season is below. I spent quite a bit of time on this and have been working on it off and on for the last two weeks. I tried to give each team about a page of preview. Take a look if you're interested. I'll post my basketball content on this thread (forum allowing) as the season goes on. GO VALLEY!

Wow...great preview...there are some really strong teams in the Valley this year.....a lot of unknowns....a lot of experience....I think it will be tough for us to repeat....my concerns are the following....lots of teams are stronger....I think we may end up being weak defensively in the post in a conference which has some pretty good post players....and as much as I think Coach Drew was the right coach and in the end will be a great coach...first year is usually a learning experience....but we are going to see some great games....really looks like there will be no gimmies in the Valley this year.

Great preview. This season will be a good one, and games will be a battle night in and night out.

I put together a quick read ranking the ten MVC basketball openers by difficulty. Good luck to you all in getting revenge on Coppin on Tuesday. GO VALLEY!

I've been spending an inordinate amount of time on football lately, but I took a break to do a quick hitter basketball power ratings. Not the start to the season we wanted as a league.

I updated my power rankings and took quick look at this week's openers in my latest article. I'll get back to producing more hoops content soon. The football season is winding down.

My updated power rankings are below. I zeroed in on who I thought every team's best player is and how they are performing. I also took a quick look at how the expansion candidates are doing on the floor. I plan to take a closer look at the candidates next week. GO VALLEY!

I'm having a hard time thinking of a game Loyola could lose in the valley this year. Maybe at UNI and perhaps at MO State or Drake.
