It looks like this guy is a reputable radio journalist in Kentucky. At any rate the Murray State message board seems to put a lot of stock in the tweet, acting like it's a done deal. |

As a lowly basketball fan who doesn't really give a shit about conference school's academic profiles or whatever, this is great! We just added two teams that hover around the kenpom 100 mark and we can trim some fluff out of the non-con. |

With no football, they’re an afterthought in all of these discussions. |

Interesting article in the Athletic today about possible Big East targets if they were to expand with their upcoming Fox renewal on the horizon, and Loyola was on the short list. Here’s what Dana wrote… Loyola Chicago The Ramblers offer the hoops cache, and the league gets Sister Jean as an added bonus. There is, however, risk here. For starters, Porter Moser is gone and Drew Valentine is a first-year head coach. His team is stacked this year, but whether Loyola Chicago remains Loyola Chicago under his watch remains to be seen. The university has invested more. The Norville Center is three-story evidence of the commitment, the Ramblers also charter much more than they used to and have enjoyed the financial gains of giddy alums celebrating the NCAA Tournament successes. Heard Murray St. will not be coming....that the Valley is happy with 11 at the present time and would be a miracle if SLU came our way although the Valley would probably make room for them. |
