For sure. You have to keep the relationship open in case there's a 2nd recruitment down the road. Another sign of how far Loyola has come is not being able to take a player like this. He would've been a huge recruit for us a few years ago.

I am going to go out on a limb and risk my RECRUITING GURU reputation, but my Crystal Ball tells me Pence commits to the Ramblers, oversigning be damned.

Ty Pence to Illinois State. Good get for the new coaching staff in Blo-No. Pence could be a day one starter and have a really successful career in the Valley.

Luckily my reputation means nothing to me.

His high school sweetheart signed to play softball at ISU. I'm sure that had something to do with his decision.

Wes Rubin decommitted, but Miles Rubin is staying committed for now. Kind of surprising. Anyone with any insight on the Rubin twins?

Could it be that my original take about our waiting to offer Wes was correct after all?

What was the point of waiting a few weeks to offer the second Rubin twin? All the other schools, I believe, offered both at the same time.
I can easily see Wes construing the timing as a slight and insult.
