4. Is Pickett still hurt?

I thought in one of his interviews recently, Porter said that Pickett had some kind of infection and wasn't around the team for a few days. I can't remember when that was.

Anyone have an update?

It appeared as though he was in uniform and warmed up with the team. Perhaps he is still getting his legs back

Maybe Pickett is on strike.

Get it?

Or maybe Pickett's on the fence about returning.

Get it?

Or maybe not...

Good to see a game, Good to see the students so involved and having fun. Some observations. Rockhurst wasnt that bad...well coached...... The lack of having a true center will be our downfall unless we come up with a solution. It seems it forces everyone out of position. Thomas would be a great 3....Osbourne a great 4. I watched the game with my brother who has Bradley season tickets and he thinks the Braves and Valley will dominate us inside. Even though J King had some bright moments yesterday will probably suffer against Valley....Oleary did not look confident and lost the ball every time he went to the hoop. Anyone think there is a solution there?
It seems like the new rules are allowing Jeff White to get to the basket more often....Milton Doyle is the real deal. Chrisman looked quicker. Turk looked better at defense.
One really bad idea was the drum corp playing under the stands after the game....

Overall I was pretty happy with the game. Yes, Rockhurst is a DII team, but also one that manages 80+ points a game, and we held them well below that. No, we didn't blow them out or put up 90-100 points, but we played them exactly as we should. Milton Doyle is obviously going to be a star for us, Turk is proving to be valuable 6th man (and really cut back on the defensive lapses/turnovers), we're finally getting some penetration in the paint, and our free throws looked a bit better.

Christian Thomas played really well. 18/10 with a couple of good putbacks. We're gonna need him to be firing when we play better teams who are gonna do their best to keep Milton Doyle out of the game. And speaking of which, how about that dunk:

Amen. Seeing it live at the arena I thought Turk misplaced it, but it turned out to be spot on. If Christian Thomas had been able to put in the other assist from....Jeff White I think (?), that would have been two highlight-worthy plays. Definitely important in keeping the fans engaged in a game whose outcome never was really in question.
