Watching this SIU/Bradley game, it’s stunning that this version of Bradley team beat Drake. SIU is making shots (shocking), but unlike our games last weekend they’re not tough shots. A lot of easy, open looks. And SIU doesn’t even have Lance Jones. Bradley’s defense is just terrible.

Salukis win, and the game really didn’t seem as close as the score.

It’s possible Lance Jones is able to go by 11am tomorrow...but the way he was (not) moving around, it would surprise me.

Did Lance Jones injure himself in this game?

Yes, early on. It happened before I was able to tune in, but he could barely get to the locker room at halftime, and by the end of the game it looked like he needed a crutch/scooter to move around. Sprained ankles can feel horrible and heal quick sometimes, but it didn’t look good.

Thanks grad.

We have been lucky avoiding injuries this year. SIU has Domask and now Jones. Drake with Penn and Hemphill (who I read is out for Arch Madness.) Indiana State's Tyreke Key is recuperating from a separated shoulder which kept him out of last couple games. And of course AJ Green.

Jones went up for a block and landed on somebody's foot.

I am so glad we went through the entire season without an injury. So many great Valley players are out now, especially if you include the Bradley suspensions. I do not expect Drake to make it to Sunday. Hell, I wouldn't he surprised if they lost tomorrow. If Key is out, Indiana State isn't much of a barrier. Regardless of who wins between them and Evansville, we have an easy path to Sunday.

And it was true for about four hours!

I agree. I definitely thought that. But this year's team is far superior to last year's.
