Yikes. This could get him fired. Could have been a bad slip of tongue, although I've never heard "plantation" used in an analogy like this. Only thing I can think of is that he meant "reservation", but that doesn't really make sense in context.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing when I read that. How does that even enter your mind as a good thing to say? It will be interesting to see what happens in response.

Who knows if this has any teeth or will result in anything, but definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Looks like he faced some pretty serious criminal charges a few years ago, and ended up pleading No Contest to lesser charges. I’m guessing it stems from that.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement from one of his assistants.

Oh wow. According to Rob Dauster, McDerrmott offered to resign immediately but the players decided they wanted him to stay. Dauster and Goodman discussed the situation from the minute thirty to the eight minute mark in the video in the tweet below.

This is just dumb on the coach's part at this part of the season. So many other phrase choices and he picks that one.
