I believe Jerry Palm the CBS bracketologist has us as a 12 seed, which seems a gross underseed to me, although it might actually be advantageous to be an underseeded 12 if we get by our 5 seed opponent in round 1.

Palm is certainly an outlier. I use bracketmatrix which aggregates all self-proclaimed bracketologists (http://bracketmatrix.com/). In terms of a seed, we average out to an 8.44 among 100 bracketologists.

This website actually ranks the all self-proclaimed bracketologists as well (http://www.bracketmatrix.com/rankings.html). Palm comes in at 85 out of 133. Lunardi comes in at 55 out of 103. The "experts".

Having us as a 12 seed is ridiculous...but I wouldn’t hate that bracket. (1) it would give us a nice chip on our shoulder heading into the Tournament. And (2) being in a group with Purdue, Texas, and Winthrop is one of the better paths to a Sweet 16 we might get. As we’ve said a lot, being an 11 or 12 is a lot better position for a Tournament run than being an 8 or 9.
