Post subject:  NCAA TO MAKE DECISION ON BASKETBALL IN MID SEPTEMBER
The NCAA announced today that it will make a decision in mid September about the START of the college basketball season.
This gives the NCAA about a month to ascertain the situation.
The announcement stated that the decision would be about a DELAY in the start of the season.
Thus, one might conclude that it is question (within reason) about the start and not the "if" of a season.
The announcement went on further to say that if "basketball could be played in 2021... there would be March Madness."
Not surprising since that is such a cash cow.
My guess is that the season will start in January but that is just my guess.
Three quarters of a season is better than none.

Great news! That Thanksgiving Eve will be one for the ages. We are so college basketball deprived. I will not be leaving my couch all day.

Will be interesting to see how they plan on pulling this all off. I wonder if some conferences (Ivy, Patriot, etc.) sit the season out.

It would be great if they turned the MTEs into round robin events at each bubble. That way, each team can get in a bunch of non-conf games within a week or so span. I'll be eagerly awaiting a schedule announcement from the MVC and other conferences.
