Their immediate schedule is not favorable either with Villanova and Butler Up Next for them. They are probably going to go into their game against Creighton at 0-4 in conference. Meanwhile, I’m wondering how much money Northwestern is going to try and throw at Porter after this season is over. That could be a real dilemma for him - Big 10, don’t have to move, don’t need new recruiting ties... but god is that an awful program to inherit. |

The NU team is an extremely young team....with a lotta injuries....7 schollie players available....they have had some really bad luck...they had 3 decent seniors leave....we will see one of them Benson when we play SIU......Their freshman point guard Bluie....was really getting going when he got hurt......and they are playing in the deepest Conference in the country.....I do have my doubts about Collins but I think they give him a chance to ride out the current group he has...including incoming kids from next year...the best class they have had. |

Strongly agree Nate. Northwestern has great young talent and Collins will be there with them for the next few years. They had Indiana by 10 late on the road and couldn't hold on. And, has anybody seen grad transfer Pat Spencer play for them? Got to be one of the best stories in college ball this year. 4 years all American lacrosse player follows his dream to play college basketball and starts at point guard in the big ten. And, he can play. |
