Article on Sean and his football skills. They do mention his choice for basketball.

Xavier just got a commitment from Makinde London, a 6'8"/6'9"power forward rated by Rivals the 79th best prospect in the nation.

The Xavier message board says that Xavier is still going after O'Mara, but the majority there appear to have cooled on him since London's commitment.

I think our chances of signing Sean are looking better.

O'Mara to Xavier, per Joe Henricksen with the Sun Times.

News came over a week late, but the odds I heard was he was leaning 60/40 to Xavier. Not surprising, given their relative place in the new College Basketball hierarchy.

Here's the story:

Damn. I wish he would have picked us. We came in second. Good luck to Sean and hope for the best for you.

We do not get him--We tried--we lost. Now then, will he be a benchwarmer on a Xavier team that has a huge back line ?? Probably. He wanted the "BIG" school over a school-us- that is rising. I wager he would have played a ton of minutes for us--
Now then without him we are big--plenty big in any case--I like our chances--

My final word on Sean.

Well...that sucks. I think he could have had a bright future at Loyola. Good luck to O'Mara on his future endeavors and congrats to him for having the most popular thread thus far on the NEW Ramblermania.

Moving on...now.

Disappointed, but not really surprised. It would have been a good get, particularly since he's from the Chicago area.

But we have some size on the roster, so we should be okay. I'm anxious to see how Cody Johnson and Jeremy King look on the court.
