Apparently, Loyola has offered North Chicago's JayQuan McCloud, a 6'4" 2014 SG, a 3-star recruit according to Scout. He's got offers from Nevada, Rhode Island, Ball State, North Dakota, Wright State, Loyola, and most recently Missouri State. Also interest from Marquette, St. Louis, Creighton, and Virginia Tech.

Looks like he's playing point in this video... This might be a test of how our membership in the MVC might affect recruiting. We're up against schools from the Mountain West, A-10, Horizon, and recent tournament teams. Missouri State just offered. He says that

Yep, we actually offered him a few months ago. I hope this wasn't strictly an Armon Gates situation. Henricksen at the S-T loves this kid and consistently touts him as being highly underrated.

Gates follows him on Twitter. When someone tweeted that he had an offer from Mo. St., I tweeted that he also had an offer from Loyola, and he favorited the tweet. Kid looks like he'd add some athleticism and can make his own shot. Broke a lot of ankles in that video, but not many defensive highlights.

He got an offer from Indiana State today also.

Are there ever many defensive highlights in these videos? Normally only for big guys that block a lot of shots, otherwise it's mostly offense. Doesn't mean the kid may not have some work to do on D, but it's hard to say much either way based off of one video. I wouldn't worry.

In video from last week, North Chicago PG/SG JayQuan McCloud, he reports that Loyola is one of the schools with the most serious dialogue, and he will make a campus visit to Loyola in August. (This video may have been recorded before his offers from Indiana State and Missouri State).

He comes across as a great kid, and he's obviously a good player. I think he'd be a great addition to the Rambler family!
