I really like the season ticket plans available this year. A 3-pack, a half plan, and a full plan, offering a choice of games. This is a great step to build a strong and regular crowd. Obviously, as attendance increases and begins to sell out some games, it will push more people to get the full package to avoid more popular games from being blacked out.

If I were in the ticket office, I'd think about marketing the three pack to Chicago-area fans of other MVC teams... If you're an SIU or ISUr fan, for instance, why wouldn't you want to see your favorite team play Loyola, plus LU vs. Creighton and LU vs. WSU?

It's amazing what winning will do for a program...

An 80% increase sounds more impressive than an increase from 75 to 135 season ticket holders...

It's not quite that bad :)

Kudos to Brian in the ticket office for working the phones and selling tickets.

It's in the ballpark, based on the Ramblers' custom of thanking the season ticket holders at halftime of the last home game by scrolling their names on the stadium monitor.

I admit I didn't do a count, but it only took a minute or so last season to run through the list of names.

And now, next time some opponent is looking to bash the program, this facetious number will be quoted all over the league as though it came from the Census Bureau....

At least you didn't accuse me of systematically undercounting Loyola season ticket holders of color or who are poor or live in rural areas, like the Census Bureau is charged with doing in 2010! (Or is that your next move?)

Actually, I made a good faith estimate of season ticket holders for last season based on the list of names I saw scrolling on the stadium monitor. It was a short list, believe me. I might be a little low, as I have been informed by a person I trust, but not to the extent that it contradicts my main point that we don't have a lot of season ticket holders in relation to the number of seats in Gentile.

Wait. They've thanked me at games for being a season ticket holder? That's news to me. I usually only see a thank you email from the coach
