Yes, I could be wrong. It has happened before.

However, I did have a reliable third source say that the preference would be for a guard because of past injuries.
Also, the juco was supposedly on campus the night before. I was told the ink was dry. That was Wednesday the 22nd after the Aussie sighting.
What surprised me further was this was not very hush, hush but rather "oh this is old news!" type of comment. That was on the 23rd.

But Store High In Transit does happen so we will just have to wait a little longer. Maybe there was a gliche.

I am always loathe to speculate and usually only share stuff that is highly likely.

Something seems wrong here. With Twitter and social media, it seems if someone committed to play for Loyola and signed the letter of intent that they would be proud enough to post it. That is what most of our recruits have done over the past couple of years. We have seen no word from the Australian kid or anyone else that was on the radar for the last spot. I might be wrong, but I speculate that something is up. Is someone playing hard to get and we are playing that game with them?

I hope this gets straightened out this week.

It is all well and good to speculate, ponder and wonder--That helps to make this Board fun ---BUT it is fairly plain to me that we have no recruit to announce --IF we have we would, period.
So, we wait til an announcement is made. Nothing here yet.

Mother Machree, I didn't see this one coming! Too early to digest the machinations, permutations and implications that come out of this news.

There's a thread on Bradley's message board recruiting forum that sheds some light:

Here's Callum's announcing his decision on Facebook:

Anyone have a guess as to what the "one admission requirement" was that he couldn't meet?

He couldn't beat Kelly in a pie eating contest

The injury history is certainly something to look at, considering how we have bitten by it so many times.
I never was able to find any season stats on Barker.

I also may look at this as a vote of confidence by the coach for Julius Rajala, as far as his health & his basketball progress is concerned in putting in many more minutes behind Kirby.

If nothing else, we will have an early scouting report on Bradley's final signee.

As far as point guards are concerned, LU has 2 of them, Doyle & White, both with recent injury problems. The signing of Tyler Smith with 6.3 AssistsP40 and over a 2.0 assist/turnover ratio, who additionally averaged 19.2 pointsP40, with a decent 3 point & FT percentages, I think was a wise move (especially with White graduating next year & possibly Doyle too).

Smith will contribute more. We already have some projects for big men.
