Is it insane? We have, with the exception of last, had great success since 2018. If there was no NIL money, I think we may have gotten some higher profile kids. Now that we are winning and in a better, more exposed conference we should be getting higher potential recruits.

With that said, you want to stay focused on our culture and get kids that willing to work, buy into our system, are coachable and not 1 and Done. They also need to study and go to class. They are out there and they are tough to get.

So driving me crazy...who did we get...for whatever reason I get blanks...I am thinking some are just posting instagram or x...and just dont show up on my feed.....so who the hell did we get ?

When I was in school we were excited to see someone might be a top 300 recruit, top 100 is inconceivable even if i agree we deserve it and its appropriate for our program in the current state.

Our recruiting seems to be going very well, which is a huge credit to Drew and the staff but also assisted by some macro forces:

1. High major programs are focusing more on the portal and only recruiting high school players that can contribute immediately. They aren't taking as many guys below the Top 50 out of hs, so programs like Loyola should be getting higher ranked hs players.

2. Loyola is an A-10 program now, and top A-10 programs historically get some Top 100 players as well as highly-rated transfers. Our facilities are as good as anyone's at our level, and the campus and location have always been strengths.

One thing Loyola has always done better than most is find guys that are great fits who chose to stay, despite interest from bigger programs. If we can land these higher-level talents and provide them the same great culture that keeps most of them for 3-4 years, then we could really take advantage of this new environment. However, with NIL I am very concerned about guys like Miles getting an offer they can't refuse from a bigger program. We will likely have to make do with keeping most of our guys but occasionally losing a star like him.

With the Ramblers being among the high mid majors the last 6 years or so, last year excluded of course, and now in a better conference, this was bound to occur at some point assuming strong play continued. But I can't recall the last time that we've had such a highly ranked commit?

Although I am sure our school puts on a nice full court recruiting press, I have to hand it to Drew. I think this is where he really excels. There are so many other programs where Seifeldin could have committed. Also wondering who had the connection to him.

This guy might be our next Ivy League post-grad transfer, judging by Valentine following him on Twitter. Pure speculation on my part.
