Neal Quinn would be such a huge get for us.

We desperately need his size. His passing would be a really great add for us as well with Williamson gone next year. He could be a great secondary play maker with Norris. It would let us run way more high low stuff.

I doubt we're the only team with a ton of interest, but he's as perfect a transfer as we could get.

Would he be eligible next year? I don't think he's a grade transfer.

I believe that under the new rules implemented this year a player can be immediately eligible if it is their first time transferring.

The coach at Lafayette also retired at the end of this season which makes it easier for him to transfer

It's a big jump from the Patriot League to the A10. I'm more hopeful that Hutty can develop more to become the player he was recruited to be.

Boy, am I wrong! "Neal Quinn, a Lafayette transfer, has already heard from NC State, Georgia Tech, Loyola Chicago, Richmond, Seton Hall, Butler, Ohio State and Illinois amongst others, he told @247Sports."

But not about Hutty. We need to get him going too.

Neal Quinn has a twin brother named Manny who also played high school ball but was too stiff to have much success.
He has found his niche, however, as a fashion model, where he is a natural.

Back to reality...

I think I might have figured out the initial point of connection between Neal Quinn and Loyola.

It's this guy:
https://www.linkedin.com/in/brianludrof

Brian worked as a media guy for Lafeyette Athletics for a number of years before coming to work for Loyola in 2021 in a different capacity.

Pure speculation, but I'll bet my bottom dollar that he had something to do with Loyola being on Quinn early, getting the jump on a bunch of other schools.

Out of all the conversations he had on Monday, he said two schools particularly stood out.

"Loyola and Richmond stood out," said Quinn. "I can tell that they like me and think I would be a great fit. I’m looking forward to continuing talking with more programs as well."

Among the things he is looking for at his next stop are development, opportunity and wouldn't mind being closer to home.

The Manny Quinn post was awful, but this is actually hilarious.

The clear lesson here is never try.
